BSM Admission
What are your admission deadlines?
Please refer to our Admissions Deadlines page for specific information regarding upcoming deadlines.
Do I have to have all 60 lower division units complete before starting with Pepperdine?
You can start the Pepperdine Graziadio Bachelor of Science in Management program even if some lower division requirements are still in progress..
Applicants must complete a minimum of 60 transferable semester units. Core requirements must be completed with a grade C or higher.
Please note that English and Math requirements must be completed before you start.
Can I transfer upper-division coursework to Pepperdine University?
Students may petition to waive up to three courses (up to 12 units, excluding BSM 468 Organizational Behavior and BSM 479 Business Strategy), based upon the transfer of upper-division courses of comparable scope and units provided.
Do my lower-division units have to be in business to be considered for the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) program?
Pepperdine does not require business prerequisite courses to qualify for our BSM program.
Will the Admissions Committee consider my in-progress units when I apply?
Applicants should contact a pre-admissions counselor about in-progress units. Contact an advisor.
Am I required to have management experience since this is a management program?
Management experience is not a requirement for the Pepperdine Graziadio BSM. The program is designed to build managerial insight or expand upon existing management experience.
How much full-time work experience do I need to qualify for the Pepperdine BSM program?
Students should be employed on a full-time basis and two years cumulative work experience in order to relate to the other students and the material covered in the program. For more information, prospective students should speak with a recruitment advisor.
Is credit given for military experience?
Enlisted personnel can receive six undergraduate elective units toward the lower division requirement. ACE units can also be accepted.
Is my tuition affected by the fact I am a non-resident?
The tuition rate is the same for all new students.
Will Pepperdine consider an applicant with a low cumulative GPA?
Students with a lower cumulative GPA are considered for the program. The Admission Committee will evaluate your GPA, work experience, and number of units completed when making a final decision.
BSM Program
How long is the BSM program?
The Pepperdine Graziadio BSM program is designed to be a two-year program. The curriculum can also be taken at a slower pace by taking one to three classes per trimester or taking a trimester off. You have seven years to complete the degree.
How many classes are in the BSM program?
Our Bachelor of Science in Management program comprises a total of 60 units:
- 12 core classes (at 4 units per course)
- 6 elective classes (at 2 units per course)
How much time outside of class do I need to spend on homework and team projects?
Generally, for every hour in class you should plan on 1.5 - 2 hours of outside time for homework and team projects. Each of the core classes is four hours, one night per week.
What are the days and times of the classes?
The majority of Bachelor of Science in Management classes are offered weekdays (Mon-Thurs) for 15 weeks. Each class meets one night per week. Some classes are held in a weekend mode which means three weekends over the course of the trimester. These classes meet on three Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. (2-unit courses meet for two weekends).
What is the average class size for the BSM program?
Our average class size is less than 30 students.
Are there any opportunities to study abroad?
The Pepperdine Graziadio School offers optional study abroad trips in Europe, Asia, and South America. Each trip is one week in length and can be taken for two units of credit.
Does Pepperdine require a laptop computer for the BSM program?
Online BSM students are required to have a laptop.
Will my diploma say evening program or extension campus?
No, the BSM degree is a full-fledged bachelor of business degree from the Pepperdine Graziadio School. Your diploma will state that you've earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Pepperdine University.

Pepperdine University is accredited by AACSB — The International Association for Management Education. Fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide have earned this distinguished hallmark of excellence in management education.

Does Pepperdine offer financial aid to its students?
