Dr. Barrett has spent over 20 years in higher education, currently serving as the executive associate dean of operations (COO) of a school of public health with an international reputation for its research on nutrition and lifestyle. Currently, his portfolio includes management of a $12 million annual budget, personnel oversight, enrollment management, marketing, and communications.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Dr. Barrett’s work in higher education began as an instructor/administrator at a college in his native Jamaica. In addition to his daily responsibilities, Dr. Barrett, holds a faculty appointment in the Center for Health Strategy & Innovation in the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University.
SUMMARY
Dr. Barrett considers every experience in his 20-year professional journey as fundamental to becoming the administrator, teacher, and leader he is today. His intent is to use those lessons learned to provide perspective within the PKE cohort academic journey.
