SEER Certificate Service Requirement
Responsible corporate citizenship cannot be learned by coursework alone. SEER students provide service to the community through a variety of experience-driven projects. Through the SEER Certificate service requirement, students develop an in-depth understanding of Pepperdine's mission, which connects purpose, service, and leadership. The SEER experience aligns with the Graziadio School Hallmarks, which are realized through entrepreneurial, global-minded, values-centered academic programs like SEER.
To complete the SEER program, in addition to course fulfillment, students must be members of the Pepperdine Net Impact chapter and complete one of the following:
- Attend an established SEER-related conference and submit a report to the Faculty Chair (must be pre-approved)
- Obtain third party SEER-related certification or credential (e.g GRI, LEED, SASB, etc)
- Help plan and coordinate a Net Impact Project
- Help plan/assist in a SEER Symposium
- Help plan/assist in a SEER-related Business Plan Competition (SEER specific, director approval)
- Hold an officer position at any PGBS club dedicated to social and/or environmental impact (including DEIA&J), including Net Impact, Graziadio Women's Business Association, Graziadio Black Student's Association, and Latinx MBA Conexion
