Session 1: Career Foundations
Session one features an overview of the program and introduces participants to comprehensive self-career assessment tools. You will begin drafting your initial strategic career plan while exploring how calling, purpose, and meaning intersect with professional success. The session establishes fundamental building blocks of career development using proven career theories and frameworks.
Session 2: Career Evolution
Session two develops your understanding of career anchors and how careers evolve across life stages. You will learn advanced strategies for building careers within and across organizations, including effective politicking and networking both internally and externally. The session covers career crafting for value and sustainability, escalating to higher-level leadership roles through feedback and emotional intelligence, and navigating career transitions including organizational changes, industry shifts, and entrepreneurial launches.
Session 3: Careers in Context
Session three examines contemporary career trends impacting today's executives, including shifting employer-employee dynamics, AI and automation, the gig economy, and remote/hybrid work environments. You will develop strategies for strategic talent management, optimizing person-job fit, and building relational capital through mentors and professional relationships. The session addresses maintaining work-life balance for holistic, sustainable career development.
Session 4: My Strategic Career Plan
In session four, you will complete a comprehensive strategic career plan workshop. You will identify and leverage your unique sources of career capital, integrate learnings from previous sessions, and commit to implementing a practical action plan for your ongoing career development.
