Pepperdine Graziadio Board Welcomes Larry Kosmont

Larry KosmontThe Pepperdine Graziadio Business School board is pleased to announce Larry Kosmont as our most recent board member. Kosmont is chairman and CEO of Kosmont Companies, a real estate, financial advisory and economic development service firm offering a full range of services for public, non-profit, and private sectors. Kosmont founded Kosmont Companies in 1986 and is now a nationally recognized expert in economic development, public/private finance, and real estate development projects involving government and private sector partnerships. Kosmont has assisted hundreds of private sector developers/investors and local government agencies in public finance and real estate matters ranging from large-scale economic development programs to site-specific projects.

“The world of private investment and public policy is changing dramatically due to COVID-19 and digitalization. How real estate investors and communities respond to new patterns of land use and a tax base with less reliance on storefront retail, will reflect a comprehensive portfolio of change that Pepperdine Graziadio Business School students will encounter and must grapple with. I am so pleased to be part of Pepperdine University and the Graziadio Board’s professional and academic leadership during this exciting transformative time,” said Kosmont.

Previously Kosmont served as the interim city administrator for the City of Montebello, California, where he focused on financial turnaround strategy and redevelopment dissolution. He also served as a city manager, director of community development, and redevelopment director for the City of Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Bell Gardens, and Burbank.
