Pepperdine Graziadio Assistant Professor Jaclyn Margolis Launches New Series for Psychology Today

Jaclyn MargolisPepperdine Graziadio Business School’s Jacolyn Marolis, PhD, kicked off the newest series of blogs as a Psychology Today magazine expert contributor. Her blog series, titled “Shifting Workplace Dynamics,” will explore current trends in the workforce from a psychology and business perspective.

Jaclyn’s first blog post features “Three Strategies to Help You Feel Less Emotionally Exhausted” and incorporates key findings from her own research into the subject. According to Jaclyn, “my team’s research into emotional exhaustion found the things that normally make us feel empowered at work are no longer effective once we are exhausted. Feeling drained and burned out keeps us from being fully engaged at work and from learning from those around us. Our findings also demonstrated that the drawbacks of emotional exhaustion can have a serious impact, such as limiting an employee’s performance in their current role and impairing their potential for success in the future.”

Jaclyn’s first article can be viewed on Psychology Today, along with her blog series’ main page.
