Pepperdine Graziadio and ThriveDX Partner to Launch Career-Prep Digital Skills Boot Camps in California
The Pepperdine Graziadio Business School is partnering with digital skills education leader, ThriveDX (formerly HackerU), to launch four career-prep boot camps in cybersecurity, UI/UX design, software development, and data science and analytics. These virtual, part-time training programs are part of the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and will equip learners with the foundational skills and first-hand experience needed to pursue a career in tech.
Engineered for learners of all skill levels and professional backgrounds, the Pepperdine Graziadio Cybersecurity Boot Camp is a live, online training opportunity that builds a robust, job-ready cybersecurity skillset. Learners participate in immersive lectures, hands-on exercises, virtual labs, and experiential simulations teaching critical skills such as how to implement security measures, respond to cyberattacks, protect business and consumer data, and more. Participants will learn skills applicable to a wide range of cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Network+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and LPI Linux Essentials, which can assist with employability in today’s job market.
The Pepperdine Graziadio UI/UX Design Boot Camp prepares learners with the fundamental skills and real-world experience needed to pursue a career in user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, visual design, and digital design. Participants gain job-ready design skills in a project-based learning environment that exposes them to the industry’s most well-known tools, methodologies, and software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Otter.ai, and Figma. Throughout the program, learners develop high-quality project portfolios that demonstrate their design knowledge to future employers or potential clientele and receive access to supplemental material including pre-recorded guest speakers, curated tutorials, how-to guides for software, and more.
The Pepperdine Graziadio Software Development Boot Camp helps learners gain the skills and confidence needed to pursue a variety of development roles including full-stack developer, software engineer, software programmer, and web developer. Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience creating optimal user experiences through client and server-side development best practices. Live, virtual lectures and portfolio-building projects expose learners to industry-leading methods, techniques, and coding languages including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development, MERN Stack for web development, and Python for back-end engineering.
The Pepperdine Graziadio Data Science & Analytics Boot Camp provides a hands-on training experience focused on data-driven storytelling, data wrangling and analytics, and data science and business intelligence. Throughout the program, learners complete experiential projects in data visualization, query, and machine learning for their professional portfolios, and have access to three sessions dedicated to preparing them for globally recognized cloud and data certifications that can be added to their professional credentials.
Throughout each boot camp, students participate in dedicated career services workshops where they will receive assistance with building resumes, training for interviews, creating a LinkedIn profile, connecting with prospective employers, and more. Students can utilize the Graziadio Career and Professional Development department for up to six months after program completion.
