NBC fires 'Today' host due to alleged misconduct | LA Times

Dr. Bernice Ledbetter comments on recent sexual harassment scandal

In the Los Angeles Times, Stephen Battaglio covers the firing of NBC "Today Show" host Matt Lauer amid sexual misconduct allegations, incorporating comments from Dr. Bernice Ledbetter, Practitioner Faculty of Organizational Theory and Management and Academic Director of the MS in Management and Leadership program at the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. Dr. Ledbetter is also the Director of the Center for Women in Leadership at Pepperdine, and writes frequently on gender roles and diversity in the workplace.
Regarding the Lauer firing, Dr. Ledbetter tells Battaglio these types of allegations are especially shocking when they are made against personalities we have come to trust. "We know these men, we know these faces," she says. "What we're seeing is a phenomenon where the heads of these news organizations are sending a message of zero tolerance for behavior that crosses the line."
