John Mooney Publishes Multiple Books on Digital Business, FinTech, and Cloud/Fog/Edge Computing
John Mooney collaborated with Dr. Theo Lynn, now Professor of Digital Business at Dublin City University, on a book series named the Palgrave Studies in Digital Business & Enabling Technologies. Last year, their edited volume on "Disrupting Finance: FinTech and Strategy in the 21st Century" was published as an "open access" book (the print version costs $31 in the US, the online eBook can be downloaded for free to allow maximum access to students and faculty, especially those in developing countries where a $31 price for a book is prohibitive. This book has 226,000 downloads).
In recent months, Dr. Mooney and co-authors published three additional open-access books:
- Managing Distributed Cloud Applications and Infrastructure, available for download from this link
- The Cloud-to-Thing Continuum: Opportunities and Challenges in Cloud, Fog and Edge Computing, available for download from this link
- Measuring the Business Value of Cloud Computing, available for download from this link. The opening chapter of this book was co-authored with another former student from Ireland, Paul Tallon now Professor of Information Systems at Loyola University of Maryland, and Marvin Duddek who graduated from Pepperdine Graziadio’s full-time MBA program last April and is now working for Stripe in Dublin, Ireland.
Looking ahead, Dr. Mooney will collaborate with Pepperdine Graziadio’s Nelson Granados on another book on "Disrupting Media & Entertainment: data and digital transformation of entertainment, media and sports”
