James DiLelio's Insights on Cheapest Car Insurance in California in WalletHub

According to a recent study by WalletHub, California drivers can save as much as $1,778 annually by shopping around and comparing car insurance quotes. The study identifies the cheapest car insurance providers in the state, with Wawanesa, Geico, and Grange leading the pack.

Pepperdine Graziadio faculty member James Dilellio, provided expert insights on the factors influencing insurance premiums. He explains that insurance companies consider a variety of factors, including age, gender, occupation, and education level, to determine premiums. 

"Insurance companies focus on the average cost to insure a policyholder, ensuring that payments cover the cost of claims," Dilelio notes. This approach ensures financial stability for the companies while providing fair rates based on statistical data.

Dilellio emphasizes the importance of understanding the various factors that influence car insurance premiums and actively comparing quotes from different providers. By doing so, California drivers can find the most affordable insurance options tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
