Jaclyn Margolis Publishes Research in Organizational Dynamics on the Use of Proxies for Workplace Self-Assessment

Employees naturally compare themselves to their colleagues in the workplace to better evaluate their standing and what they can accomplish as employees in the future. The challenge is managerial advice for facilitating informative comparisons is sparse. In Organizational Dynamics, Pepperdine Graziadio Business School faculty member Jaclyn Margolis co-authored research that adopts the viewpoint that managers need to better facilitate useful comparisons between employees in order to help them achieve success in the workplace. The research provides suggestions that can help managers direct their employees to develop their self-efficacy and achieve their career goals.
