According to research, employees want to receive more frequent feedback from their managers to improve their performance and skills. Managers and employees who engage in regular and effective feedback loops see benefits such as a lower turnover rate and employees become more engaged. However, managers often struggle with communicating feedback. Jaclyn Margolis created a five-step process to create and implement feedback loops. Managers can follow the “SNAFU framework” -- Soon, Non-evaluative, Actionable, Focused, and Understood -- to create constructive communication channels and build successful relationships with their employees.
