Google, the world’s most popular search engine, has the ability to gather more data
than most online platforms. But, in the wake of Facebook’s hearings on Capitol Hill,
many privacy experts are interested in why Google has been left out of the data- privacy
spotlight. The recent Camridge Analytica episode highlighted consumers' fears around
how their data can be used against them. Charla Griffy-Brown, a professor of information
systems at Pepperdine University's business school shares, "Both of them know us better
than our co-workers or people in our family. It all comes down to trust."
