Enablers Are Part of the Problem | Huffington Post
Dr. Bernice Ledbetter authors article on sexual harassment
A regular contributer to the Huffington Post on matters relating to gender and diversity in the workplace, Dr. Bernice Ledbetter
pens a column on how "enablers" are part of the sexual harrassment problem – even
if they are not direct perpetrators. Dr. Ledbetter says sexual harrassment "is often
not limited to the actions of one specific individual, but it involves enablers who
turned a blind eye to inappropriate and abhorrent behavior."
Dr. Ledbetter is Practitioner Faculty of Organizational Theory and Management and
Academic Director of the MS in Management and Leadership program at the Pepperdine
Graziadio Business School, and Director of the Center for Women in Leadership at Pepperdine
University. In this piece, she offers advice on how people can actively and safely
change a work culture that discourages speaking out against wrongdoing.
