Citing Pepperdine Graziadio Business School quarterly research conducted in partnership
with Dun & Bradstreet Corp., CNBC says small business hiring has rebounded. The rebound
follows a pause caused by hurricanes in the south.
CNBC says small business hiring has fluctuated in recent years, and that it has not
completely recovered to pre-recession levels. Some businesses are automating work
or using freelance workers instead of full-time employees. Freelancers are not included
in many employment reports. According to the Pepperdine Graziadio-Dun & Bradstreet
research, owners say they expect slower annual revenue growth in the coming months.
