OTT.X and Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Partner on Multiple Initiatives

OTT.X and the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School jointly announced plans to partner in initiatives that will add value to the Pepperdine community and to OTT.X membership. With both having expertise in technology and broadcast entertainment, OTT.X will provide access to content and learning in the streaming video industry for the Pepperdine Graziadio community.  Pepperdine Graziadio, with a renowned entertainment media and sports program focused on analytics and the industry’s transformation, will enhance OTT.X projects and research as well as encourage student and faculty participation in events.

As part of the opportunity, Pepperdine Graziadio will amplify and host all upcoming “Research Roundup” segments at OTT.X conferences. In addition, Pepperdine Graziadio will periodically present data and analysis from their Annual Industry Report and other research findings as part of the OTT.X Webinar Program. The Annual Industry Report will offer insights and describe data-driven trends taking shape in entertainment media and sports.

Pepperdine Graziadio faculty and the OTT.X community of content creators, content distributors and service and technology providers will work together to identify pertinent and timely projects/research that can be conducted and reported on by Pepperdine students and classes. OTT.X will provide in-classroom speakers with domain expertise from within its membership to assist Pepperdine’s faculty focused on digital media and entertainment.

Pepperdine Graziadio students will be invited to attend OTT.X conferences and networking programs including those held by the OTT.X Leadership Development Foundation, where they will learn alongside the industry’s community and meet potential employers. When appropriate, Pepperdine will also be able to promote graduate placement at OTT.X events. Already one student was hired by OTT.X through the partnership.

“We’re proud to be working with the talented faculty and students at Pepperdine,” commented Mark Fisher, President and CEO of OTT.X. “This relationship will provide the rich data to assist our membership and the OTT community at large understand the dynamics and trends in our ever-changing industry.”

“Working with OTT.X and its members, and participating in its industry trade events, will allow our talented students to network with industry leaders and place them with some of the streaming industry’s leading companies,” added Nelson Granados, PhD, Executive Director, Institute for Entertainment, Media, & Sports, at the Graziadio Business School.

Nelson Granados will join Mark Fisher on stage to announce the planned initiatives at the OTT.X @ Pipeline 2021 event taking place at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles from 9:30 a.m. - 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8. More information on the event is available here
