Mark Allen portraitThe pandemic caused many individuals to flee urban areas and seek a safe haven in other parts of California and across the nation. As the pandemic, restrictions, and remote work dragged on, employees or those that were laid off reflected on their pre-covid work-life balance. Mark Allen shares his expertise on how the pandemic resulted in several individuals reevaluating their careers and switching careers and how employers are now challenged with a talent shortage. “For companies, the most valuable currency today is not money, but flexibility. Allen highlights another challenge employers will have to overcome in the post-pandemic workplace is maintaining a healthy workplace culture that engages the staff, even while working remotely.
