Chris Worley to Publish New Book on the Importance of Organizational and Management Research

Chris WorleyChris Worley will release his new book How to Do Relevant Research: From the Ivory Tower to the Real World which is set to be released on October 31, 2021. Amidst rapid and fundamental shifts in the economic, geo-political, technical, and societal landscape, Worley and co-authors Phil Mirvis and Sue Mohrman make the case for research that can be informed by “real world” problems. By utilizing both scholarly and practical research, organizations can transform the future of management practice. The book is a powerful tool that provides relevant information on management practices and why they are so important for organizations of all sizes.

“Relevant organization and management research is vital. While some gravitate to this kind of research but worry about its feasibility and instrumentality - from mid-to-late career scholars to researchers in a think-tank or consultancy who want their work to be scientifically sound and practically useful - you’ll find frameworks, exemplars, ideas, and tools to guide you as you craft your research practice,” said Worley.
