Dr. John Mooney Receives Prestigious Association for Information Systems Fellow Award

Congratulations to Pepperdine Graziadio Business School’s own faculty member, Dr. John Mooney, who was recently honored with the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Fellow Award. John is an associate professor of Information Systems and Technology Management at Pepperdine Graziadio, and received the award for his outstanding contributions to the information systems discipline in terms of research, teaching and service.

An AIS Fellow is also expected to have made significant global contributions to the information systems discipline, as well as outstanding local contributions in their country and region, in order to receive the prestigious honor. As an AIS Fellow, Dr. Mooney will serve as a role model and an inspiration to colleagues and students within the information systems discipline. In addition, Dr. Mooney will also be responsible for garnering the respect of individuals from outside of the information discipline, who from time to time have an interest in the discipline.

The AIS Fellow Award was established in 1999 by the AIS Council and the ICIS Executive Committee. Dr. Mooney was one of eight AIS Fellows from around the world to receive the award this year. In addition to Dr. Mooney's achievement, alumnus Zack Hicks, chief digital officer at Toyota North America and CEO at Toyota Connected, received the 2018 Leadership Excellence award from AIS at this year's conference. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Mooney and alumnus Zack Hicks on these significant professional milestones—they are truly Best for the World Leaders.
