Through a generous long-term, multi-year donation from Dan and Coco Peate, entrepreneurs can now launch and grow business ventures while pursuing an accredited graduate business education at the Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School Peate Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Founder and Benefactor
Dan and Coco Peate
Thanks to the generosity and vision of Dan and Coco Peate, Graziadio School students have a unique opportunity to learn business and launch a venture simultaneously at the Peate Institute for Entrepreneurship.
Background
Dan Peate is the founder and general partner of Peate Ventures. He is also the founder of Driav and was founder and CEO of Hixme, a Kleiner Perkins portfolio company. Peate has previously held senior executive roles at Arthur J. Gallagher and Aon. He sits on the boards of Driav, CardiacDirect, and BoomStudios, is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and was an intern for the Reagan Presidential Foundation. He and his wife Coco sit on several nonprofit and charitable boards. The couple currently reside in Thousand Oaks, California, with their six children.
Executive Director
John K. Paglia, PhD, CPA, CFA
As Executive Director of the Peate Institute for Entrepreneurship, Dr. Paglia leads entrepreneurial education, business incubation, and venture funding initiatives to help student entrepreneurs launch and accelerate their business ventures. He is also a Professor of Finance at the Graziadio School, having taught MBA-level finance courses for over 15 years.
