Voices of Alumni
Jeff Rozic, MBA '06
I am writing you on behalf of our alma mater, the Graziadio School of Business and Management.
Although it's likely we may not know one another personally, we share a powerful common bond – the link that connects us to nearly 35,000 Graziadio alumni.
I originally chose Pepperdine's Graziadio School for very specific reasons including the unique 12-month MBA program, the diversity of the students, the vast alumni network, a generous scholarship, and the school's entrepreneurial focus. However, I quickly realized that my greatest connection to Graziadio was the focus on developing values-centered leaders. A series of things – organizational behavior classes, talks with social entrepreneurs, and collaboration with students – led my friends and me to launch the Values-Centered Leadership Lab. The Lab's initial focus on hands-on learning is still best represented today by the Ethics Case Competition and the Social Entrepreneurship Award within the school's business plan competition.
Following my graduation, I became an active alumnus, chairing the Graziadio Alumni Network in Orange County. I worked with many fellow alumni who are entrepreneurial and philanthropic. We supported non-profit organizations in the community, created small working groups of alumni connected by shared professional affinities, and produced events like the Annual Innovation Summits that put our reputation and brand as a school out into the community. We witnessed the growth of the largest MBA network in Southern California. I want to see that vast network continue to expand so that all of us can look forward to a lifetime of networking and the business opportunities a strong network will foster.
As Graziadio graduates, we can help ensure that all that has been accomplished at the Graziadio School of Business and Management continues for future classes of students. There are many reasons to give back to our school. On one level, alumni giving is an important metric in many rankings and public perceptions of business schools. And at a loftier level, our donations support a very worthy cause: developing business leaders with integrity, ethics, entrepreneurship and values. Your donation, regardless of its size, is an essential component of our sustained future.
Please help me provide the opportunity for others to be part of our school community. By offering a values-centered education to tomorrow's business leaders, we ensure for ourselves a vast and growing network of like-minded colleagues.
Your support is vital to future students in the Graziadio School. To see the opportunities and programs your gift supports please visit bschool.pepperdine.edu and give today!
