Apellix Robotics Showcases Autonomous Cleaning Drone Technology at Pepperdine Graziadio

Pepperdine Graziadio Business School recently welcomed Apellix Robotics to its Malibu campus for a live demonstration of its autonomous cleaning drone technology, bringing together students, faculty, industry professionals, and members of the Pepperdine community to explore the future of innovation, robotics, and entrepreneurship.

Apellix first connected with Pepperdine through the Most Fundable Companies® (MFC) program, where it was recognized as one of the program's finalists. Since then, the company has continued its relationship with the Graziadio Business School as a client in Pepperdine's E2B™ (Education to Business) program, providing students with the opportunity to work directly alongside an innovative technology company on real-world business challenges.

As part of the E2B™ program, students in Professor Doreen Shanahan's marketing course are partnering with Apellix on a semester-long marketing consultancy project. Throughout the term, student teams have been developing strategic marketing recommendations for the company, with final presentations scheduled for the end of the semester. The live demonstration offered students a valuable opportunity to experience the company's technology firsthand, deepen their understanding of its products, and gather insights to support their consulting work.

Held on the Malibu campus, the event featured live demonstrations of the Apellix autonomous power-washing drone as it cleaned the exterior of a campus building using advanced autonomous flight technology. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience the technology firsthand through guided flight demonstrations led by the Apellix team and learn more about how autonomous drones are transforming commercial cleaning, infrastructure maintenance, and workplace safety.

Representatives from Apellix shared insights into the company's autonomous flight platform, discussing how artificial intelligence and robotics are improving efficiency, reducing risk, and creating innovative solutions for industries ranging from commercial building maintenance to infrastructure management. Following the demonstration, attendees participated in a Q&A session exploring entrepreneurship, emerging technologies, and the future of autonomous systems.

The event exemplified Pepperdine Graziadio's commitment to experiential learning by connecting classroom education with industry collaboration.
