Pepperdine Graziadio Students Recognized by OurWeekly for Olympic Sustainability Solutions

OurWeekly Los Angeles, in its special Earth Day edition, is spotlighting a team of Pepperdine Graziadio MBA students who are turning sustainable innovation into action. Olivia Tran, Christina Lvov, Maria Hernandez, Kaila Crouch, and Michael Hernandez recently won the Reyes Coca-Cola Olympic Case Competition with a proposal designed to reduce waste at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
As students pursuing the SEER (Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible) Business Strategy Certificate, the team developed two standout ideas: Sustainability Booth Recycling Zones and Reverse Vending Machines that reward fans for recycling through the Coca-Cola +One app. Their proposals reflect the SEER philosophy—solutions that are socially conscious, environmentally sound, ethically grounded, and economically feasible.
Pepperdine Graziadio remains dedicated to cultivating values-driven leaders who integrate sustainability into strategic business decisions.
