Pepperdine Graziadio Organization Development Professor Supports Fountain Valley School Strategic Planning Process

Dr.  Julie  Chesley, associate professor of organization theory and management and director of the MS in Organization Development program, lent her organizational expertise to the Fountain Valley School strategic planning process. Dr. Chesley, who serves as Fountain Valley’s Vice President, Board of Trustees, assisted school leadership with appreciative inquiry, a discovery process that focuses on an organization’s strength and potential. “The process we’ve chosen is an aspirational process,” says Dr. Chesley, "where we focus on the positives: students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and leadership thinking about how Fountain Valley is at its very best and how can we make that happen everyday.” Dr. Chesley’s work reflects how organization design principles can be utilized to improve strategic planning processes and unite different stakeholders around a common goal.  Learn more about her contributions at Fountain Valley here
