Pepperdine Graziadio Alumnus Scott Aubin Named Nominee for CFO of the Year

Scott Aubin (MBA ‘00), CFO, USA Water Polo, based in Irvine, was named a nominee for CFO of the year for non-profits in the Orange County Business Journal. Scott ensured all finance and accounting operations were met while staff was remote over the past year. Aubin also successfully converted to a new payroll and HR system for the organization, ensuring that efficiencies were gained in the payroll and Human Resources department. Aubin also took over compliance functions for the organization. He worked with an outside insurance consultant to develop a new compliance program for club members and navigated a new audit process from the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee. “Mr. Aubin's stewardship of USAWP's finances, human resources, capital projects, and athlete safety have been exemplary at a time when many companies have faltered,” said Christopher Ramsey, Chief Executive Officer, USA Water Polo. “For all these reasons, I am delighted to support Mr. Aubin's nomination as Orange County's non-profit CFO of 2021.”
