Pepperdine Graziadio Business School received four awards at this year’s Internet Marketing Association (IMA) Event, “IMPACT20: The Year of Reinvention.” After many years as a successful in-person event, this was the first virtual iteration of the IMA’s IMPACT annual event. They featured exclusive interviews and insights with business leaders from around the globe, included industry giants Steve Wozniak (Co-founder of Apple, Woz U, and Efforce), Palmer Luckey (Founder, Anduril Industries & Oculus VR), and Jay Symonds (Senior Manager, Amazon). Pepperdine Graziadio alumni were also featured as part of the IMPACT20 event line up, including Ned Curic (MBA '14, PKE 123) of Alexa Automotive speaking on the topic of “Productivity, Entertainment, Connectivity,” and Peter Coffee (MBA ‘85) of Salesforce speaking on the topic of “Growing Global Connectivity and Computational Power.”

The timely event focused on conversations pertaining to the myriad of impacts 2020 has had on businesses across the globe, and what leaders today are doing to prepare for their success both now and well into the future. Dean Deryck J. van Rensburg and Laura Schwab, first female president of Aston Martin the Americas, discussed the importance of leading effectively with compassion. During the interview, Laura shared her advice to individuals seeking to advance in their career, “you can’t be scared to say yes and most importantly, remember to be true to yourself. Don’t act like everyone else does...stay true to your core.”

Pepperdine Graziadio Business School received four awards from the IMA for its leadership in innovative Internet marketing programs. This included:
