Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Associate Professor of Economics Paul Gift, PhD,
writes in Forbes that Floyd Mayweather Sr. is being sued for over $20 million for breach of contract.
The suit was filed by Ann Barlow in the Clark County District Court (Nevada) on October
2, 2017.
The lawsuit itself stems from a 2015 dispute between Mayweather Sr. and Barlow, in
which Mayweather Sr. claimed Barlow tricked him into signing a contract for public
relations consulting services when he actually wanted assistance setting up a nonprofit
foundation. That lawsuit was eventually dropped, but the new suit filed by Barlow
appears to be an attempt to clear her reputation, according to Gift.
