DeJuan Price

Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Executive DBA student, DeJuan Erica Price, MBA, PMP, APR, has been named a recipient of the prestigious 2025 AIS Entrepreneurial Innovation Fellowship. The program, hosted by the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, recognizes emerging scholars who are making significant contributions at the intersection of entrepreneurship and information systems research.

Price's research delves into the critical role of business networks, including digital platforms like LinkedIn, in fostering the entrepreneurial success of Black women. By employing a mixed-methods approach, her study explores how entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE), social support, and networking contribute to business sustainability and economic equity. Her findings aim to identify actionable strategies that can enhance the entrepreneurial journey for underrepresented communities.

The AIS Entrepreneurial Innovation Fellowship supports groundbreaking research by providing funding, facilitating attendance at AIS and AIS-affiliated conferences, and promoting mentorship opportunities with leading scholars. Throughout the fellowship, participants engage in specialized workshops that advance the field of information systems by incorporating entrepreneurial insights.

As part of the fellowship, Price will collaborate with fellow cohort members and esteemed faculty mentors, contributing to a series of working papers that will be made available in the AIS eLibrary, enriching the academic community's knowledge on entrepreneurship and information systems.

The AIS Entrepreneurial Innovation Fellowship continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of information systems research by empowering scholars like Price to drive meaningful change and impact in the field.
