Pepperdine Alumnus Angelo Pastò Becomes the New Owner of Italian Soccer Club U.S. Campobasso 1919

Angelo Pasto HeadshotPepperdine Graziadio alumnus Angelo Pastò (MIB '91), Founder and President of Stanford Properties Group (SPG), recently acquired minority ownership of Italian Soccer Club U.S. Campobasso 1919. This is the same team that recently received an investment from American television personalities Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, as reported by Forbes and Bloomberg. With this new acquisition, Angelo will partner with majority owner Matt Rizzetta of North Sixth Group, LLC. Angelo said he aims to be a great partner to the North Sixth Group to grow Campobasso 1919’s presence in the Canadian market. The club currently plays in the fifth division of Italian soccer and aims to achieve rapid promotion to higher divisions. “This investment is special to me, as when the opportunity presented itself after speaking with Matt, I knew that as an immigrant from the region, I wanted to be part of this project,” said Angelo Pastò. “There are hundreds of thousands of Italian-Canadians with roots from Molise, and I believe this creates a significant market for Campobasso 1919 here in Canada.”
