Alumna Alexia Grevious Henderson Named President of Magic Johnson Enterprises

Alexia Grevious Henderson

Magic Johnson Enterprises (MJE) has announced the promotion of Pepperdine Graziadio alumna Alexia Grevious Henderson (MBA ’20) to President, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career. In this new role, Henderson will oversee MJE’s expansive portfolio of business ventures, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, advancing the company’s longstanding commitment to innovation and community impact under the leadership of Earvin "Magic" Johnson.

Henderson joined MJE in 2017 as senior manager of marketing and communications and steadily rose through roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she served as vice president of strategic partnerships and marketing, where she managed high-profile corporate relationships, led fulfillment of major partnership agreements, and strengthened the Magic Johnson brand through comprehensive marketing and communications efforts.

Reflecting on her promotion, Henderson shared:
"This promotion means more than I can even express. It's a reflection of my hard work and the support and advocacy that’s been poured into me throughout my career. I’ve always been a proponent of operating in excellence regardless of title or task. My father always told me if they ask you to do anything, big or small, do it to the best of your ability because it’s the small things that build trust. Reaching this point lets me know that my good stewardship over the small assignments, gradually building up to larger tasks and deals, has led to my being entrusted with a multibillion-dollar corporation. For my fellow Graziadio students, you’re doing it for a reason, don’t give up. I’m grateful for my time in the program and feel it prepared me for this moment. Surround yourself with friends, mentors, and advocates who see greatness in you, even when you don’t believe it for yourself. Always do anything asked of you to the best of your ability; you never know where it might lead."

Before joining MJE, Henderson served as corporate communications manager for the Washington Commanders (formerly Washington Redskins) and began her career at the NCAA in Indianapolis. She has earned recognition as one of Sports Business Journal’s "30 New Voices Under 30" and as one of Diverse Representation’s "Top Ten to Watch in 2022."
