San Fernando Valley Business Journal: Westlake Village Startup Makes Pepperdine's List of Most Fundable Companies

A recent article in the San Fernando Valley Business Journal featured a local 2019 Most Fundable Company winner. Giftz, LLC is a Westlake Village startup which provides consumers with an online platform where shoppers can liquidate points, miles and eGifts cards for cash or exchange between programs. The Most Fundable Companies List featured the top 15 most fundable companies across the nation, five of which are located in California, as well as 6 Highly Promising Companies, of which four are in the Golden State.

“The Most Fundable Companies initiative is designed to help exceptional entrepreneurs secure the visibility they need with the investment community as well as help angel and venture capital investors identify startups that are worthy of investment,” Craig Everett, assistant professor of finance and director of the Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Project, said in a statement.

The Most Fundable Company initiative involves a multi-phase assessment over several months and evaluates U.S. companies with less than $10 million in annual revenue. Last year’s Most Fundable Companies were able to raise close to $17 million in aggregate. The top 15 Most Fundable Companies are featured on Entrepreneur.com as well as in the December print issue of the magazine.
