Can Donald Trump Just Name a University After Himself?
Dr. Mark Allen, Practitioner Faculty of Organizational Theory and Management at the Graziadio School of Business and Management, comments on the controversies surrounding Trump University in his latest blog post. He says “in the United States, the terms “university” and “college” have no legal requirements. I’ve seen two-person training departments called corporate universities. I’ve seen a single course on sales training labelled a corporate university. However, this is not true all over the world. Many of the countries in Western Europe, for example, reserve the term “university” for what you and I normally think of as a college or university. Many corporate universities in Europe are therefore called “academies” or “institutes.” Read more here.
