In his latest Forbes blog, Dr. Nelson Granados, Graziadio Business School Associate Professor of Information Systems, comments on the recent deal between the NFL and Twitter saying “the fact that Twitter is now the exclusive partner for a live stream of Thursday Night Football brings social networks one step closer to one day becoming mainstream media for sports.” He also said that although American Idol‘s last season just ended it is evident that the next generation of the most-watched TV show of the last 15 years is bound to embrace digital in its fullest form. He predicts “content producers are bound to embrace digital platforms like social media in ways we have never seen before. Technically, once you produce in digital format, any digital platform allows you to go live.
