Dr. Granados: Why Adele Did The Right Thing By Calling Out The Fan Videotaping Her Concert

In his latest Forbes post, Dr. Nelson Granados, Associate Professor of Information Systems at the Graziadio Business School, praised Adele for calling out a fan for videotaping her at a concert saying she was both courteous and firm in her position, and I give her thumbs up for that. “Her implicit message was perhaps that it is the prerogative of intellectual property and copyright owners to determine the rules of engagement of consumers with their material, yet she implied so politely.  Well done on raising the flag to avoid putting your music in the hands of pirates, and well done for doing it in a courteous enough way to respect your fans.” Read more here.
