The publication surveyed 2013 graduating Executive MBA and Presidents and Key Executives MBA program students concerning their school experience, from admission to graduation; helping the Graziadio School score #17 in the graduate poll rank category, as well as an A+ for curriculum, A for academic support and B grade for teaching. For the first time, the Fully Employed MBA program participated in Bloomberg Businessweek’s national ranking of part-time MBA programsThe Graziadio School earned the 12th place spot for the Western region, while taking 50th place in the United States, the position FEMBA also holds in the part-time MBA ranking by U.S. News and World Report this year (Click here to Tweet this). In additional to a survey of graduating EMBA and PKE students, to rank executive programs Bloomberg Businessweek conducts a poll of EMBA directors that asks for feedback on which programs they view as the best. The student survey calculation includes three years of data, encompassing the last three ranking cycles (2009, 2011, and 2013), according the publication’s website. Similar to the executive MBA ranking, Bloomberg Businessweek surveyed 2013 Fully Employed MBA graduates. Program placement took into account “an academic quality measure that combines six school-reported data points—including average GMAT scores, class sizes, and completion rates—and a calculation of post-MBA outcomes.” To gauge post-graduation outcomes, Bloomberg Businessweek determines the percentage of student survey respondents from each school who say their part-time MBA program was “completely” responsible for their having achieved career goals. The responses of 2013 Fully Employed MBA graduates awarded the Graziadio School a post-MBA outcome score in 15th place nationally. Next year, graduating students in the Full-time MBA program in Malibu will be invited to complete a survey for Bloomberg Businessweek’s fall ranking. Full-time MBA students graduating in April 2014 should make certain the Career Management Center and/or Alumni Relations have a non-Pepperdine e-mail address March 1st to ensure they receive the survey invitation.
