Brian McGilvray is a practicing attorney, specializing in the areas of business and
corporate law, business planning and formation and business operation. He is very
active in the area of emerging growth businesses, providing legal and consulting services
to closely-held corporations in a number of diverse industries. His business experience
includes executive positions in human resources and operations, as well as the start-up
and operation of two businesses of his own. In addition to his business experience,
McGilvray's early career included five years in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff.

Associations and Publications
McGilvray is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California. He is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and holds lifetime certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He has served as a Wage Board member for the State of California Industrial Welfare Commission, and currently serves on the board of directors of several Southern California corporations. McGilvray has guest lectured on ethics and family business issues at UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management, and he has co-authored a number of case studies for the use in mid-level management training and development programs.
McGilvray has been an adjunct faculty member at Moorpark College, California State University Northridge, and Pepperdine University's Graziadio Business School, having taught courses in Business Law, The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business, Employment Law, and Legal Aspects of Human Resources Management. In addition, he was awarded a teaching assistant fellowship while attending Pepperdine University's School of Law.
