Q. How do I recruit Pepperdine MBA interns?
A. There are a number of ways you can work with the Career Services Office to identify and hire Pepperdine MBA interns. We suggest your first step should be to register with Career Portal to post your position.
Q. Who can help me select my intern?
A. The Career Services Office is available to assist you in finding the right match of skills and talent for your specific project and organization.
Q. Is there a limit to how many interns I can hire?
A. No, there is no maximum to the number of interns you would like to hire.
Q. When are Pepperdine MBA interns available?
A. MBA students are available for full-time summer internships beginning in April. Students may be available for part-time internships throughout the academic year (September – April).
Q. What is the average duration of an internship?
A. Typically internships span 40 hours a week for 10 to 12 weeks.
Q. How are internship projects determined?
A. Internship projects are initiated and developed by the participating company. The Graziadio School is not involved with designing or managing the scope of the internship.
Q. What are typical projects assigned to interns?
A. Projects can range from research and analysis to providing strategic support on special projects or core business functions. The most effective projects are well-defined in scope and expectations.
Q. What is the average pay for a Pepperdine MBA intern?
A. Hourly rate is negotiated between the employer and the intern. Average pay is $25-30 an hour.
Q. What percentage of interns become full-time hires?
A. Typically 30 percent of Pepperdine MBA interns become full-time employees.
Q. Do interns receive school credit?
A. Yes, students are awarded a passing grade if all internship requirements are met. The intern's supervisor will be asked to complete a written evaluation.
