Rick Sarmiento has over 15 years' experience in a variety of industries. He is the principal of Innovative Communications, a consulting practice providing services in strategic partnerships, marketing and technology. He was the founder and CEO of Interactive Business Technologies, Inc., leading IBT from a small start-up to an industry leading international CRM, informational technology and web-services firm. Currently, he is involved in projects in the international market experience, primarily in Asia and Latin America.
Rick serves as vice chairman of the Latin Business Association. He also serves on the executive committee of Pepperdine University's Hispanic Council. He has been instrumental in bringing educational opportunities to Latino entrepreneurs and in working with Pepperdine in the growth of the LBA's Pepperdine Business Certificate Program.
Rick currently teaches technology in Pepperdine University's Business Certificate Program in conjunction with the Latin Business Association. Rick has also written a variety of articles on subjects such as customer relationship management technology, marketing and technology, and multi-cultural markets acquisition. His contributions can be found in a variety of periodicals and publications. Rick is also a martial arts instructor in the arts of Ju-Jitsu and Judo.
Rick Sarmiento's experience as an entrepreneur, founder, CEO, consultant and Pepperdine student provides him with a key understanding of the Graziadio School's Executive MBA program. Moreover, it enables Rick to foster an atmosphere in which students get current and pertinent information while also receiving guidance related to class assignments and individual student performance.
