Mr. Nethery has over twenty-five years' experience as a manager and consultant of management, human resources, and organization improvement. During his career and work in over 20 countries, he has been recognized for managing and consulting leading edge business innovations utilizing his experience with applied behavioral science. All his experience—from front line service to the boardroom—has uniquely positioned him as a highly sought executive coach.
Mr. Nethery brings a unique perspective to his faculty duties, having managed diverse functions such as human resources development, human resources, retail sales organizations, and hospitality service organizations. He has consulted for firms such as Allergan Inc., Beckman Coulter, City of Anaheim, Boston Scientific International, Amgen, Genentech, Sorin Biomedical, Mentor Graphics, Greenbrier Homes Company, Taco Bell, Farmers Insurance Group, and Flex Foot Inc. He has consulted with organizations and governments in Europe and Asia, most recently in Kuwait, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. Mr. Nethery specializes in managing organizational change and in providing innovative, custom solutions regarding organization alignment issues. He specializes in offering unique and effective approaches to workforce planning, organization culture and climate analysis, team development, conflict resolution, and organization design.
Mr. Nethery served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1966 to 1972, which included two "cruises" to Vietnam aboard the destroyers USS Robison and the USS John Paul Jones.
An adjunct professor at Pepperdine University's Graziadio Business School, Mr. Nethery has taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs since 1994. He is also an adjunct professor at American University in Washington D.C. Mr. Nethery has also taught leadership, conflict resolution and management classes at Chapman University.
Publications and Associations
Mr. Nethery has conducted numerous presentations and workshops at locations around the world and has been a recurrent speaker at various national association meetings. He is the author of "Human Resources Planning," and The Vest Pocket CEO. He is also a member of National Training Laboratories and the National Human Resources Association, and he has held board seats and leadership roles at American Society Training and Development and Organization Development Network associations.
