Dr. Jeanie O'Laughlin led the Fully Employed programs at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management until her recent decision to return to teaching in the accounting department. She has taught accounting for several years and started the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) to provide free income tax assistance to low-income taxpayers, and in the first year served almost 500 citizens. Prior to her teaching career, Dr. O'Laughlin worked in a variety of accounting positions and industries, including a Fortune 50 company, a manufacturing firm, a nonprofit and educational institutions. Her expertise lies in budgeting and strategic planning. She has provided strategic planning consulting services to a variety of educational and nonprofit organizations. Dr. O'Laughlin has an interest in fraud and has presented at the Forensic and Investigative Section of the American Accounting Association, and community venues. Dr. O'Laughlin and her husband were foster parents for several years, providing a home to more than 30 children.
