Angela Chung, MBA 2011, is a first-year MBA student in the Fully Employed MBA program who was born and raised right here in Southern California. She received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Irvine, California and interned in Shanghai for awhile soon after. "∫That internship gave me so much global perspective in doing business abroad," she says. "∫I have been working in Orange County as a project manager since then. I am getting my MBA because I want to broaden my skills and eventually involve myself specifically in the area of microfinance in order to contribute to the cause of alleviating poverty globally. Crystal Ceballos, MBA 2010, is a student in the Fully Employed MBA program and an Orange County native. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University and specialized in Design Communication Arts from UCLA. She began her professional career in advertising and currently serves as a freelance creative project manager. She is currently pursuing interest in global business and marketing. Mike Kumazawa, MBA 2009, is a second year Fully Employed MBA (FEMBA) student, originally from right here in bright, sunny, Los Angeles, CA. He received a bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance from The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. "∫After being a ski bum in Lake Tahoe, CA for a year I took an analyst position with Universal Studios Hollywood and have been working as an analyst in various aspects of business since, currently as a price / cost analyst for Princess Cruises in the area of purchasing," he says. "∫I chose Pepperdine because of the strong regional presence, national reputation, and expansive and active alumni, in addition to recommendations from past co-workers who are alumni of the FEMBA program." Nicole Williams, MBA 2010, a fully employed student earning her Pepperdine degree in finance, blogs regularly about the private equity industry for the Graziadio Voice. She posts current news, interviews and information about PE firms and their deals with the hope is that students who are considering a career in finance will take a look at private equity. Nicole is an accomplished business development professional with a proven track record in business, financial and market research and analysis, investor relationship management, business proposal development for companies and products in the marketing consulting, education and media/entertainment sectors. Siawn Ou, MBA 2010, is a second year Full-time MBA student at Pepperdine University. He was born in Beijing and grew up in the greater Boston area. He attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he received dual bachelor's degrees in Economics and Chinese. "∫After working in finance for two years, I decided to look into the more creative aspects of business," he says. "∫Pursing an MBA was a great avenue for me to make the transition from purely quantitative thinking to the more collaborative science of marketing. James(J.T.) Stout, IMBA/MIB 2010, is a member of the founding class of 5-Year BS/MBAs. His educational and career interests are on international business with a particular focus in financing the evolution of the energy sector in the 21st Century.
