Graziadio Voice is looking for student writers. Would-be bloggers enrolled in any program are welcomed. Here are three ways you can get involved and how to get started.
Do your course studies challenge your preconceptions about business issues or how you view news developments? Looking to involve classmates or future students in club activities or rewarding community service? Are you studying abroad and seeing your host country as few tourists might? Finding ways to balance studies, work and family life that may help others to be successful at Pepperdine?
These topics, and more, are all fodder for the student blog. Graziadio Voice aims to be the Pepperdine business student's community board"a kind of Web 2.0 buddy system. Starting a discussion and encouraging dialog by getting classmates to leave comments is the objective. Helping current and future students to be engaged and successful members of the Graziadio community and celebrate critical-thinking is the goal.
A post does not have to be long and wordy (although nothing’s wrong with a good long post). One paragraph or two can be as effective as an essay, if thoughtful, reasoned and well-written. A post can even be as simple as photos with a caption"images tell stories, too.
3 Ways to Contribute
Become a Regular Columnist. Have time to craft at least two posts a month? You can join students like Matt, Areg and Jordan who contribute as standing writers. As a staff blogger, student writers can explore a particular theme over time or be observers of the world around them.
Write a Guest Post. You may wish to blog, but cannot commit to signing on board as a frequent contributor. Graziadio Voice accepts one-time submissions by authors. Students can share with the community, but without feeling obligated to post regularly.
Leave a Comment. Wish to challenge what a blogger posted or add to the discussion? Graziadio Voice is a forum and anyone can respond to individual posts with their own thoughts and reactions. Comments must be approved before they are published and the post author has the opportunity to follow-up.
How to Sign Up
Review the Graziadio School's blogging guidelines and suggested best practices to be either a regular columnist or guest poster. At the bottom of the page are fields to submit your name and register to blog. Signing up mean you agree to follow the guidelines.
Once you register, you will be asked to supply a sample post and self-introduction. Thereafter, you will be provided with a user name and password or other instructions to start blogging. It is that simple to get started.

Too busy to log on frequently and follow what students are posting? Subscribe to Graziadio Voice by email and receive new postings automatically. Let the student blog come to you and don't worry about remembering the web address.
