![]() | Do I have to be a manager to be considered for the Fully Employed MBA program? |
A current or previous management position is not a requirement for the Fully Employed MBA program. You do need to meet the minimum requirement of two years of full-time work experience.

A minimum of two years of professional full-time work experience is required.

Pepperdine does not require prerequisite courses to qualify for the Fully Employed MBA program. However, you do need to meet the admissions requirements to be considered for admission.

You do not need to have an undergraduate degree in business to be considered. 66% of our applicants are non-business majors.
![]() | Does Pepperdine require an interview as part of the admissions process? |
There is no formal interview for the Fully Employed MBA program. Pepperdine does encourage an applicant to schedule an individual consultation with a preadmission advisor to discuss an applicant's qualifications.
![]() | How many letters of recommendation do you require? |
Applicants are required to submit the pre-printed recommendation form from an immediate supervisor. An applicant may provide additional recommendations as needed.
![]() | Does Pepperdine require a minimum GMAT score? |
Pepperdine recommends that applicants prepare for the GMAT and secure the highest possible GMAT score to be considered for the Fully Employed MBA program. All criteria are considered when evaluating an applicant. If you need further information, schedule an individual consultation with a pre-admission counselor to review your qualifications for admission.
![]() | What is your minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL exam (international students only)? |
The minimum acceptable score on the computer version of the TOEFL exam is 80, with a minimum of 20 in each category. The minimum acceptable score for the written exam is 550.
![]() | Will you consider an applicant with a low cumulative GPA? |
A student with a lower cumulative GPA can still be considered for the Fully Employed MBA program. Applicants in this situation should contact a pre-admission advisor for an individual consultation.

The average overall cumulative GPA is 3.0. Pepperdine requires a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.

![]() | How long is the Fully Employed MBA program? |
The Fully Employed MBA program can be completed in 24 months of continuous study taking a minimum of 8 units of coursework per trimester plus additional workshops over 4 weekends. However, students have the flexibility of completing the program over a longer period (up to a maximum seven years) by taking fewer units per trimester according to their work commitments and personal circumstances.

The Fully Employed MBA program is a total of 52 units — nine core classes and three electives. There is also a 1-unit development workshop in the first trimester of the program, two 1-unit simulations taken after the first six core courses and at the end of the program, and one 1-unit contemporary issues course.

Generally, for every hour in class you should plan on two hours of outside time for homework and team projects. Each of our core classes is four hours, one night per week.

Pepperdine offers optional study abroad trips in Europe, Asia, and South America. Each trip is one week long and can be taken for 2 units of credit.

The average class size has fewer than 30 students.

![]() | Does Pepperdine require a laptop computer for the Fully Employed MBA program? |
Ownership of a laptop computer is not required, but it is highly recommended. However, students are required to have access to a laptop computer that they can bring to class at the request of the professor.
![]() | What days and times are your classes offered? |
The majority of classes meet once a week from 6 to 10 p.m. for 14 weeks. Some classes are scheduled on Saturdays, and others are held in a weekend mode — from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday evenings and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
