Pepperdine University to Offer Online MBA for Working Professionals

Graziadio Online Fully Employed MBA Announced

LOS ANGELES — The Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University will offer an online master in business administration program for working professionals, announced Dean Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D. The Online Fully Employed MBA will be an option alongside the school’s existing portfolio of traditional on-campus part-time evening and weekend MBA program offerings.

“Online students  will receive a MBA at a fully accredited, internationally recognized business school with more than 40 years of experience delivering  education focused on responsible business practice that is values-centered, global in orientation and entrepreneurial in spirit,” said Dr. Livingstone. “The Online Fully Employed MBA is an appropriate option for the professional who seeks a superior learning experience in a manageable period of time that minimizes the impact on work and home life schedules.”

The Graziadio School is currently accepting applications for its first class, which is scheduled to start in January 2013.

“In launching an Online Fully Employed MBA program, the Graziadio School seeks to create the world’s best values-centered MBA delivered through the Internet,” said Dr. David Smith, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, who is overseeing the initiative. “The curriculum directly mirrors our existing on-campus program and will be taught by the same faculty. Students will be able to complete the online option in six semesters, the same as on-the-ground students, and they will be able to pursue a 12-unit concentration in finance, marketing or leadership.”

The degree requires an in-person immersion module that will offer online students the opportunity to interact in-person with their fellow students and program faculty.

The Online Fully Employed MBA expands the opportunity to bring talented, engaged, highly qualified professionals into the Pepperdine community who might not have been able to pursue an MBA due to distance or work/life schedule. Candidates are required to have an acceptable GMAT or GRE score, bachelor’s degree with an acceptable grade point average and at least two years of professional work experience.
