Dean Named Secretary-Treasurer of Beta Gamma Sigma

Dean Linda A. Livingstone was elected as the new secretary-treasurer of international honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma. Elections for officer and board member positions took place at the society’s Biennial Meeting on April 29, 2012. Livingstone, who has served on Beta Gamma Sigma’s Board of Governors since 2010 will begin her term as secretary-treasurer of the honor society on July 1, 2012.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International. Beta Gamma Sigma has established over 500 collegiate chapters on six continents and inducted over 690,000 outstanding students into membership. During 2012-2013, Beta Gamma Sigma celebrates its Centennial year with many special projects and events.

Livingstone has served as the dean of Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management since 2002. In that time, she has overseen a $200 million expansion of the school’s regional campuses, increased Graziadio’s international partnerships to 30 global business schools and aided the school in joining the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative. She has authored business textbooks as well as articles in Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Education and the Journal of Management. She also serves on the Board of Directors of AACSB International as well as Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). Livingstone earned her PhD, MBA and BS from Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business.
