Leadership Excellence magazine named the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University number 15 in leadership development among universities and schools of management. The annual ranking advances the School from number 17 last year.
Leadership Excellence magazine is a leading periodical on management, leadership effectiveness and organizational productivity. It stands apart from other business publications in that it is written for and written by the most illustrious authorities in management studies, including such heavyweights as Tom Peters, Marshall Goldsmith, Gary Hamel, John Kotter, and of course, the guru of leadership gurus, Warren Bennis.
For the fifth year, the publication has recognized Pepperdine’s MBA and master of science programs alongside UCLA’s The Anderson School, USC Marshall, The Wharton School, Yale, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and ahead of Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School.
The Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) program’s international reputation and unique curriculum contribute greatly to Pepperdine’s premium standing in the organizational leadership community and with Leadership Excellence magazine. Several graduates of the MSOD program have authored articles for Leadership Excellence magazine. Dean Livingstone and Professor Mark Allen are among the Graziadio faculty who have also contributed.
Leadership Excellence magazine reached out to more than 1,000 organizations known for an emphasis on developing leaders and selected 500 based on seven criteria; vision/mission; involvement and participation; measurement and accountability; design, content, and curriculum; presenters, presentations, and delivery; take-home value and outreach.
