PINK magazine examined what some of the “best business schools in America” are doing to reach out to women. The Pepperdine MBA program made its short list of six favorite picks.
The Graziadio School, wrote reporter Kathy Brister, “connects prospective women students concerned about family pressures with existing women students or alumnae with similar life experiences – for example, new mothers or single moms. The prospects get insiders’ advice on balancing family, work and an EMBA.”
The article quoted Dean Linda Livingstone. “We talk a lot about the value side of your profession and how you fit into society,” she said.
The article also noted Pepperdine’s personal approach to women applicants and small classes. Instructors work directly with students and do not use teaching assistants, PINK wrote.
PINK is the No. 1 resource for America’s more than 65 million professional women. The PINKe-Note portfolio reaches more than two million women every year with the only global online community, daily (Little PINK Book), and national event series.
The other five MBA programs on PINK’s list: Emory University, Goizueta BusinessSchool, New York University, Stern School of Business; Babson College; University of Michigan, Ross School of Business; University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School; and Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
