Social Enterprise Week kicks off the month of March on the Drescher Graduate Campus.
The five days of events aim to communicate the values of social and environmental responsibility as well as sound ethical practices in business. Hosted by Graziadio student clubs and student leaders, activities bring the B-School community together on topics of sustainability, social entrepreneurship, green venture capital investment, marketing cause events and much more.
“At the end of each event, Social Enterprise Week committee members will distribute one raffle ticket to each attendee. The more events you attend, the greater chance you have to win a great prize,” said Sandro Olivieri, MBA ’09, president of the Values-Centered Leadership Lab.
The final raffle drawing will take place during the Magill Symposium on Friday, March 6th.
Social Enterprise Week culminates with a certified 5K and 10K-course race for charity, the Annual Pepperdine Challenge for Charity (C4C) Race on Saturday, March 7 at 8:00 am at Zuma Beach. All proceeds go to The Special Olympics Tri-Valley and The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation. Along with the race, it will be a fun day for the whole family with a children’s race, music and healthy food and drinks from Whole Foods and Sambazon.
Social Enterprise Week is held March 2-7th, 2009.
