Graziadio Alumni Network Partners with LAVA for Private Equity Event

For the second year in a row, the Graziadio Alumni Network partnered with the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA) to present an executive panel on private equity trends. "Private Equity Outlook: Views from America's Venture Experts" drew an audience of 178 alumni, students and business professionals to the Marina del Rey Marriott on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 to listen and learn from a six-person panel of PE industry veterans. Foster Roger Ailes, chair and CEO of FOX News and chair of Fox Television Stations, received an honorary doctorate. Forescee M. Orange County Alumni Meet for a Different Kind of Networking Event

On Thursday, November 8, 2007, the Graziadio School hosted the annual Orange County Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) reception at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana. The ambiance was fun and casual, with the hands-on exhibits adding a new dimension to help engage and entertain everyone in attendance. Many of the 200 attendees took advantage of the opportunity to experience lying on a bed of nails, the wind of a hurricane, and different intensities of earthquakes in addition to networking with fellow alumni and hearing a brief update from Dean Linda Livingstone. Foster Friess, founder of Friess Associates, a Wyoming-based prominent investment company, received an honorary doctorate. Dennis Tito Speaks on Business Ventures and Space Adventures

Alumni and Students Connect at ASK Reception Los Angeles

On March 1, 2007, the Graziadio School hosted its annual Los Angeles Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) reception at the luxurious City Club in Downtown LA. More than 270 alumni, students, and friends attended the reception and took advantage of the 12 industry tables at the event. Hosted by alumni and guest volunteers, the industry tables offered information on how to break in various industries, including marketing, investment banking, management consulting, banking, and entrepreneurship, among others. For many this was an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet fellow alumni and hear a brief update from Dean Linda Livingstone and senior staff. More
Business Plan Competition Supports Pepperdine’s Student Entrepreneurs

Pepperdine Team Takes Second Place in ACG Cup

Friends of George Graziadio Golf Tournament Proves Most Successful Ever

The 2006 Sovereign Capital Management Friends of George Graziadio golf tournament, held on October 3 and chaired by Carl Lambert, was the biggest success in school history. 200 golfers and friends were on hand at beautiful Trump National Golf Club to help honor the memory of George Graziadio and recognize our “Best Friend” Award honoree – James Daly. The school’s Reputation Fund netted over $100,000 from the event.
