How has the Graziadio School experience contributed to your success?
I think the thing that really piqued my interest in the program was that it teaches you all aspects of business. You're not learning just marketing, just sales, or just organizational behavior. You're learning how each one of those come into play and how all of them come together.
What has been one of your most rewarding experiences?
It's a very demanding program, but it's also probably the most fun that I've ever had. It's very demanding in the sense that you're working full-time and you're going to class every third weekend. Yet getting together with your classmates and hearing what they have to contribute is a lot of fun. You hear so many different perspectives that it just makes it enjoyable to come to class. Class discussions open your mind to a whole new way of thinking and looking at problems and how to deal with them. It's really the classmates that make the program.
What makes the Graziadio School unique?
Pepperdine has been very accommodating towards people that work full-time and also have families. They really encourage the family. They tried to get socials together and tried to get the family members to meet each other so that they can build that support system behind you. And so, not only do the students know each other, but also the husbands and the wives and the kids. Pepperdine is very, very accommodating in that area.
